This includes a detailed description of each item. and yes you can export assets you downloaded from the assets store too (import>right click>export).Once you start your personal inventory, you need to include as much information as possible about each physical asset. workspace aside, you should make backups of your files & exportable assets to local & external drives. and sometimes the user haven't read the guidelines (not pointing any fingers, just an observation from my past experience & from others). no one will delete that cuz of "rules" unless celsys's servers suddenly went down.Īnd yeah, i kinda agree with op sometimes assets get taken down for reasons. another way to save a workspace without publishing to the assets store is to synch it to the cloud after registering as a material don't publish, just cloud. as far as i know, there's no other way to share a workspace other than in the assets store, unlike tools & autoactions which you can export & save/share anywhere. so that's why the top answer is to publish in the assets store cuz the user was asking how to upload and/or share. I read the ask thread, their title (like in the hyperlink above) mentions " Share/Upload" (emphasis added by me). So make local backups.Īlso there needs to be an easier way to backup workspace files. What you should take away is that uploaded things to the asset store can be deleted for no reason at all, even when private. But my guess is this workspace in which so much time went into is gone for good. I'll give an update if I manage to get my workspace back. I asked support if they can recover it, but haven't got any message after 3 days. It was made by someone with over 3k posts so most likely working at CSP. The reason why this frustrates me so much is because they have an official guide on how to save the workspace file in which one of the last steps is uploading it as an asset to the asset store. Then lately I reinstalled windows on my pc and was greeted with this wonderful message. It's not that simple to save the workspace file (it's not a file on the pc), so I exported it as a material and uploaded as a private asset to the asset store. Lost my workspace because some clever employee at CSP deleted it.
